As per the report published by Hype Auditor, July was the last month when there was a distinction between Video posts and Reels. Since August, all new video posts under 15 minutes will be shared as reels. Interestingly enough, all video posts will also have access to Reels' creative editing tools to help make your videos more fun and engaging.   • To discover how various sorts of material perform on Instagram, HypeAuditor studied 77.6 million Instagram posts.

  • In July, the most common type of content was image posts (42.2%). Carousel is in second with 26.2% of postings.

  • In third place, reels come in at 22.1 per cent: Reels were the most popular type of video post on Instagram influencers' accounts.

  • It's interesting to see that Reels are the most popular, based on the number of Likes (35.4%) and Estimated Reach (33.8%).

  • Another interesting point to note is that in July, only 5.7 million influencers posted Reels out of the total number of analyzed influencers- 41%.

  • Even though Reels had more reach and engagement, 59% of consumers did not take advantage of it.
