Kudos&Co Expands Leadership Team with Former DreamWorks Executive

Matt Robertson to Head Operations for Kids’ Positivity App, Kudos

 

Palo Alto, Calif., November 07, 2017 -- Kudos&Co Inc., the company leading the movement for safer, more positive social media just announced veteran entertainment executive, Matt Robertson, has joined the company as Head of Business Operations.  Matt comes to Kudos by way of DreamWorks Animation where he was responsible for the day to day operations of the digital strategy team, products, and investment projects.  Robertson brings experience well-matched to Kudos’ forward-looking needs specifically in the areas of content production and marketing age-appropriate content. In this new role, Robertson will work closely with the product team to ensure the full weight of operations, PR and marketing are aligned to maximize the launch trajectory for each new product release

Kudos&Co recently secured $5.73m in seed funding, enabling the company to increase business development and marketing efforts and continue expanding the engineering and leadership team. The Kudos&Co team includes executives from Pixar, Disney, Instagram, EA, Google and DreamWorks who are dedicated to creating a safer social media experience designed just for kids.   

 

Robertson spent the last 10 years at DreamWorks in a variety of roles, continually overachieving in terms of profit margin and revenue growth for the company. He was instrumental in overseeing a DreamWorks investment in one of the most successful educational massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG), How to Train Your Dragon, which resulted in doubling the company’s revenues and quickly gaining six million monthly active users for the game.
